The Media and Information department offers both undergraduate and a graduate courses in ICT and development. At the undergraduate level MI 480 is a fall semester course and provides a hands-on introduction to the ICTD field. MI 488 is a spring and summer course in which students work on real ICTD projects. The summer offering is typically focused on implementing projects that have been designed in the spring, and for the past several years field work has been completed in Tanzania. An article describing this program can be found here.
At the graduate level, MI 875 is typically a spring semester course, focusing on the ICTD theory and cases in a variety of international contexts.
Undergraduates can also complete a minor in ICT for Development. Please see the Media and Information department web site for more information on the ICTD minor.
